ZoomReader is an iOS app designed to provide persons who are blind or visually impaired with tools to enlarge, capture, or hear text read aloud.

The app uses the built-in camera on iOS devices to zoom in on text and images. Voice recognition enables hands-free image capture; Optical Character Recognition scans and converts imaged text into words you can listen to using text-to-speech.

Low-vision users can leverage ZoomReader to increase independence. The app's features enable users to look up phone numbers and TV listings; read pill bottles, price tags, or street signs; or scan restaurant menus without having to ask for help. This can be used as an assistive technology in the classroom.

inClass is a comprehensive planning and organizational app geared towards middle-school, high-school, and college-aged users. Users have the ability to add class times, professors, homework, and due dates to their calendar. inClass is more than a simple to-do list. FormulasHD is the perfect study tool. It is a simple, easy to use, easy to navigate collection of the most important formulas and topics for high school and college students taking Calculus and Differential Equations.

I recommend this app for all math classrooms. It will both inform and engage the students.

Super Duper StoryMaker

Super Duper StoryMaker is an IOS app. It is not free. It is $4.99. With this app, students can create their own stories using text, sounds, pictures, and drawings. These stories then can me saved, printed and email.

I would use this app with my students as an elementary school teacher. This allows students to be creative and put their thoughts in a book.

Motion Math

Motion Math: Hungry Guppy is a free IOS game. It is made for younger students to learn addition. It teaches them how to understand that three dots and the number 3 is the same thing. The students simply drags the dots together to add them together and then feed them to the fish.

If I was teaching a younger elementary class, I would use this app.

Happy Little Farmer

Happy Little Farmer is an IOS app for $1.99. It is a great app for young students to learn the life cycles of plants. They can play games, plant their own fruit and vegetables.

This is an awesome app. I would use it for my students to teach them the life cycle of plants.

Too Noisy Pro

Too Noisy Pro cost $1.99 on any IOS device. It is used for teachers to set the maximum noise volume they want in their classroom. When that volume is exceeded, it will sound an alarm.

This is a great way to show the kids exactly what an inside voice is.

TeacherKit

TeacherKit is a free IOS app that helps the teacher stay organized in one place. They can take attendance, record grades, make seating charts, etc.

I would use this app everyday so that I can have everything I need in one place instead of in a ton of places.
