Love to Count by Pirate Trio

Love to Count by Priate Trio

Description: Love to Count by Priate Trio is educational app created for the IPhone, Ipad, and IPod Touch that can be purchased for just 3.99. It focuses on developing mathematical skills that center around addition.  As students interact with this app, they are given immediate feedback based upon their answers. In my classroom I would use this app as a center acitivity. Since teachers are able to set up accounts for each student individuallly, I would use this app to moniter my students progress.

How it works: Students engage in a variety of actions when working with Love to County by Priate Trio. They can be asked to split a pizza into a specific number, or they could be asked to count the number fish that was caught. During interaction with this app I believe that a stylus would be a helpful tool for students to use.

This app could be useful in the classroom because it has a search engine that can search the entire works of Shakespeare for a single word or line. An integrated glossary is included in the app, so that the user can simply click a word to learn its meaning.
